Never been to an Auction Before?

Don’t worry, It’s simple, fun and best of all saves you money!

Register as Buyer

Registering as a buyer is free.  Before you can bid you must fill in a Buyers Registration Form, by filling in this form you agree to the ‘Terms and conditions of Sale’ displayed in the foyer.  You will need to provide photographic identification to register.  Once you have completed your details on the form take it to reception with your identification to receive your Buyer Number.  You will need to apply for a new number each auction you attend.

Bidding

To bid you need to attract the attention of the Auctioneer by holding up your hand or your Buyer Number.  Make sure the Auctioneer notices your first bid, he will then watch you for further bids on that lot/item.  The auction process is quick, (1-2 minutes per lot).  So listen carefully to what the Auctioneer is saying.  If you have never bid at an Auction before we recommend you watch the proceedings closely, until you are confident enough to participate in the action.  It’s really very easy and enjoyable and there’s absolutely no pressure.  What’s more you won’t end up buying an item because you scratched your nose.  Our experienced auctioneers know a genuine bid when they see one.

Successful? What next?

If you are successful, show your Buyer Number to the Auctioneer so that you can be noted as a Buyer.  When you have finished bidding on all the “Lots” you are interested in please wait 10 minutes for the processing of the paperwork before making your way to the office to finalise your purchase with the Cashier.
